SL500 MOTOR QUESTION

1992 mecrdes bens sl 500 r129 5.0
does anyone know if theres anything different from a 1990 sl500 5.0 to a 92 sl500 5.0l like different sensor readings between motors. one i put in came from 1990 and doesnt run barely been through everything

Ditto I'm not familiar with early variants but I'm not aware of any changes as the 1990-92 cars used the M119.960 engine. In 1993 it was changed to the M119.972 (significant changes to fuelling).
That's not to say there weren't changes though.

The only electronics on an M119.960 which will stop it running are the crank sensor and EZL which drives the two ignition coils.

It will run without the EHA connected up to the CIS-E ECU

Would be worth checking the MAS relay which powers the fuel pumps, but they can always be hot wired.

lovely engine, much missed, wish I had never sold my R129

Agreed. The 119 is an amazing engine. Very strong too and was the basis of the Sauber C9 race cars where they produced up to 820hp.

super confused on this they said good running motor but beliving thts not case great fuel spark ke jetronic works as should
