I have an 1999 SLK 230 with 4500 miles on the clock. It has a noisy differential. MB Hitchin inspected the vehicle and diagnosed either a faulty crown wheel or bearing. Beacuse the car is 5 years old neither they nor MBUK will entertain an FOC unit replacement. Has any other SLK owner experienced a similar problem and, if so, what was the outcome
