Some advice please

I live in Spain, but do not read Spanish. I have just had a "Diagosis Assisistance System" report on my S430. I have a intermittent Y3/6n3 sensor problem, and I have asked them to change the whole ETC.

I also have the following error codes on the report; can anyone help with these B1636, B1637 and B1270?

Welcome to the forums.

The gearbox fault is the speed sensors housed in the electrics set mounted to the top of the valve body £140ish for the part, while you're at it have the central connector changed as well as its removed as part of the procedure to replace the electrics set. The plug is £20.

Thanks for all your help; it was really very much appreciated.

I can’t praise my local Mercedes dealer enough; I always have great service from him. He had already done as you suggested and changed the speed sensor and connector for 180 Euros, and also added gearbox oil and changed the gearbox oil filter. All this for only 30 Euros an hour labour charges! (AND he brought my car to the front of the queue when I told him I needed the car because my grandchildren are here on holiday.)

Guess we should move to Spain if MB are soo good near you
