I had a problem when starting after I'd had a injector out, there must hav been a air lock in the leak of rail your problem maybe something relating to this

The 2150cc cdi engine is bad for injectors leaking off. I've had two, the first showed by a warm start problem and the second by a cold start problem. Have a look at the fuel return pipes while the engine's running - if there's big air bubbles it can be a symptom. A diesel fuel injection specialist could do a leak off test for you. Mine was about £200 for diagnosis, removal, overhaul and refit of one injector. There's also a small seal in or around the high pressure rail which can go faulty. It was a while ago I checked mine so I can't remember exactly where it is, sorry.

Try the seal first as there only .60p. Chances are it will be an injector, you need to do a spill port test on them to diagnois which one is faulty.

Hi there is a crewed way to check the injectors remove the leak off rail from all the injectors and get someone to start as you are looking at them they will spit fuel out of the holes where the leak off was connected if one has a different amount, like a lot more fuel leaking this could be relating to your problem.

You would be supprised how many times this is done, the spill port kit is no more than plastic bottles that sit in the top of the injectors, calibrated of course, but for the price of them!!!!!!
