Can anyone help - my merc has started stalling at certain points. It can run for miles without a problem and then if I stop it for a short period and then re-start it stalls just at the intial pick-up point - really annoying on an auto as you can't get the revs up before progressing. It will start no problem once in park but may then stall again. I have to be really gentle with the throttle for it not to stall. It also does not pick up sometimes after decelerating before acce;erating ahain just seems to stutter and then pick up really slowly.
The car has been serviced and all the bits that should be cleaned out have been. The local garage tried to diagnose but could not replicate the fault - not merc specialists mind.
Should I get it diagnostic'd at a specialist place or are there some things I can do myself?
