Thanks John, yes my car is an 04 350SL. Appreciate your adviceThere’s a code on the MB service invoice which can be entered to a DSB portal. Mercedes Me had that facility but on your 2004 I think that predates Mercedes Me (my 2008 did certainly), so maybe your indy can access for you? Presume your car is an SL? Not clear from your profile
Why not drive to your nearest MB , tell them you are looking at getting servicing done there from now on and get them to print it out for you so you discuss what is needed in the future ?Am I right in thinking that any Merc’s service record can be looked up on line via the Star system? If so how?
Great idea, thanks. Only trouble is my nearest MB dealer is over 20 miles away! Does it have to be an MB franchise to access the Star records? Why not drive to your nearest MB , tell them you are looking at getting servicing done there from now on and get them to print it out for you so you discuss what is needed in the future ?
I would, but pretty dull and dingey here with a typical Cornish muzzle! Try not to get it wet, and certainly not a topless day!Only 20 miles from MB on a nice day like today buddy , get the roof down and enjoy the drive .
Thanks, so how is it accessed? No. Service records are held online in DSB (Digital service book). It is not related to STAR in any way.
DSB was introduced in 2008. Earlier cars may have some history on on DSB if they have remained in the dealer network, but most of them dont.
Thanks, so how is it accessed?

Would such records exist for my 2004 SL350, or is it too old?Only via independent Mercedes specialists that have signed up or main dealers. We can provide an up to date service printout for a small fee.
Too old, but the supplying dealer may have an internal service record they can send you.Would such records exist for my 2004 SL350, or is it too old?
