I am having trouble starting my beloved c250td estate (P Reg). It has been in the garage twice but no better. We have changed the glow plugs, a number of the fuel pipes around the filter and tightened what we can see. Seals on the air intake have also been replaced.
To get it started you have to crank it for up to a minute (not doing the battery much good). Once started it is usually ok for the rest of the day.
The pipes around the filter appear to have air in once left for a while.
I am not too sure if the problem isn't with the electrics as it seems to be worse on cold, damp days.
Any ideas gratefully received.
