I have had my E400 coupe on 19s for a year now. It looks and drives great.
I hope / intend to keep it for a few years more.

Sad to say, but the next car will probably be some kind of small SUV with 55 plus profile tyres as I am already tyred (sorry ) of driving with my eyes on stalks for potholes...

The roads are never going to get any better so it floaty tyres for me (and my family on their cars)

Road conditions getting worse - easily the poorest state since i started driving in 1972. Lots of cars driving a round potholes which often necessitates move over centre line and sometimes with traffic coming other way. Also are people giving full concentratioin to driving or looking out for potholes as well?

Classic example is Church Street, Stoke where numerous holes exist and yet just a 1/4 mile from the Council's Civic Centre.

I see they are at least replacing some of the major concrete roads here in Norfolk, so that's a start. The higher speed roads would be the priority in my view

I'd just like to get about without wrecking vehicle components and riskin an accident there are PLENTY OF 4 INCH PLUS DEPTH POTHOLES I can't remember, esp at night where they all are. And the con, s have had 12 + yrs to date to tidy them up. They collect our cash so we can't really blame the councils tho the wages they are paying no1 thru 10 are getting beyond the joke.

Just been out for a Sunday drive and apart from the red Corsa up my chuff for 5 miles the effort of missing the potholes made it less enjoyable than it could have been.

That's primarily why Vdoz went alaways a "John and Jill" boy racer up the back. Surprisingly, even in France on near every drive out.

On my 2 Saturday jaunts to Warwick, new pot holes. Now other drivers are swerving around also from start to finish. A about 2 weeks ago I broke mirror upon hitting one in the dark by j23 on the M1. As mentioned by others its stressful having your eyes peeled for them, I get out of the w221 feeling fvcked and lucky. I’ve had to swerve onto the hard shoulder heading south soon after East Midlands airport on the M1. This weekend I was crossing the white lines on the outside of lane 3 for the first time on the M69. I had oncoming swerving into without care to slow down etc to avoid the same pot holes I do when travelling in that direction. ( I do slow, try to time it or stop and wait if the oncoming lane is busy)

I know it’s all down to us to deal with but seriously the councils etc need to held responsible. The repairs are are joke and not what I call a patch. People having a dump in the pot holes would probably be more effective as a patch repair.

With the roads how they are I think the time for simple, yet robust mechanicals will only get greater. In addition to the above you can’t ignore the legend P80 Toyota Landcruiser V8 and prices seem to agree.

Most definitely, my brother in law has 2, that exact model plus a newer model.......And they don't have many pot holes in NZ

I had a 200 series (when it first came out) and the guys in Oz told me it was too technical and wouldn’t survive the OZ Outback. I did 1000s & 1000s of miles in the Outback & on beaches and it never missed a beat. They are good machines.

Just returned from a mainly rail but quite bit of road trip around Eastern and Westen Europe (ten countries). Their roads seem much better than ours. How far have our roads fallen!
