So i took the car - w220 to the dealers to have a problem with the phone corrected -its prewired.
they told me they took out the centre console, armrest to get at the phone electronics.
Anyway a few days later i was in the back of the car (w220) and the wood that surrounds the air vents had a big chip in it - boy was i peed off. Also a peice of plastic trim that you need to remove to access another screw is snapped!
now i have looked on my WIS and you have to remove these to access the screws to get at the phone wiring, it even says on the instructions, use a special tool as damage to the wood can otherwise occur.
I have phoned the dealers and the service manager is off, so i need to wait till monday,
how shall i approach them when i go in. i think i shall take the WIS instructions with me.
FCUK ing dealers let the brand down.
advice appreciated.
ps this one one the main reasons I hate the dealers to do work, they always create another problem.
(Aside - Once i was in the dealers looking at the servive area and a guy had all his tools on the roof of a car, he knocked a spanner off and I am sure it would caused some damage to the paintwork.)
I know every mm of the car and know immediately when something is amiss. I am 101% certain this is their doing
