Steering Wheel Adjustment

My 1999 W210 E220 Cdi Elegance appears to have no way to adjust the steering wheel setting. The manual has a few pages for electric setting but my car does not have this electric setting.

Is the reach fixed for my car?

My 2001 W202 has a lever to the right of the steering column to adjust the reach but the E class does not appear to have this.

It's not a major problem for me as I have found a very good driving position anyway but I suspect my wife might struggle with this.

Should be a handle underside of the coloum, pull that and should move up/down, in and out.

it wasn't standard on the 210 until around 2001 - my 2000 wasn't adjustable.
