Help please
I drive c220cdi auto estate 2002.
Lately I encountered problem with the auto gearbox.
Occasionally when I slow down lets say from 40mph to 10mph or less i.e approaching round about and accelerate back to 40mph without stopping, the gearbox gets stuck at 1st or 2nd gear ( a lower gear). I find the only way to correct this is to slow down back to about 10mph wait for the gear box to catch up and reaccelerate, once or twice i have had to parkup and restart the engine to cure the problem. I have been driving this car for over two years and this is the first time I have had this problem. It seems the problem occurs more in cooler conditions and can happen regardless of how hard or soft I accelerate. Would be grateful for your views before I visit the local mechanic.
