There has been a lot of publicisity recently, the main reason for this is that when the EGR valve in the exhaust is past its sell by date, an abnormal amount of soot goes back into the inlet system, fouling the butterfly, this can cause it to jam.
The lambada sensor is often overlooked as well, can be costly when the CAT goes down,it also effects smooth running of the engine.
these two things are not expensive, but left unchanged,it becomes very expensive and has to be changed anyway.
these parts are not servicable.
