Having owned a 1928 car for 27 years, I can tell you life is not normal, the house has to fit the car, everytime you stop the crowds hang around, all of the wives comming and going, no more for me.

Just agree with Barry's intro

Yeah.... Thats what comes to mind when I see one of those things esp in black...

Go for the 300SL Gullwing.. now that is a NICE car but deeper pockets are required. I am only 25 though so may not appreciate pre war cars as much as 50 and 60's jags and mercs

If only I had the money....

I would have a whole garage full of different cars, I could probably open up my own Mercedes Benz World...I can only dream :)

You should have joined the GRRC. Their members trip next year is to Maranello to visit a couple of ferrari places, then a trip around the Ducati factory and a return flights on a private jet. Should get to see some nice cars (and bikes) there.

Hanz whats the point of a garage full of cars if there is no time to drive them?

I would (in my dreams) have a garage annexed to the house, centrally heated of course containing a car for myself, commuting and business such as an SL500 or Porsche (is that word allowed here?) Cayman then a car for my wife an Audi A3 2.0TDI DSG Sportback would be nice. A large S500 LWB for the long trips and of course the weekend car... a big hairy TVR or maybe Lotus Exige.

I would also like a couple of classics, A Ferrari 250 GTO would be nice oh and that 300SL Gullwing and maybe an early E-type jag.

Oh nearly forgot I must have two more a Lamborghini Gallardo Spider as well as the Ferrari 599GTB.

So you see hanz yes there is no way I could drive all these cars but.... it's a disease....

Hey has anyone done a thread yet "what I would have in my dream garage" or is that too unfaithful to Mercedes?

I could have one for each day of the month, or week, depending on the amount I have. :)
