Hello and welcome,

Yes… by trading it for a petrol one…

Technically it will be possible, you’ll need an engine, wiring loom(s) new clocks and a few other bits - maybe even a gearbox… sell it and buy a petrol

This has to be a wind up?
A diesel from 2009 doesn't even have Adblue!

I know that if i buy a new one it would be cheaper, but i like my car, i just want to change the diesel engine if it is possible. If not so i will keep it that way.

I’m sure you will find an amg engine or two on eBay….

As mentioned above it’s far easier to buy a petrol.

Anything is possible - if you want to throw enough time and money at it. Apart from the bits that have already been mentioned, I suspect there will be an awful lot of software and system updates needed and that will cost a lot to do at a Mercedes dealer or independent.

I'd buy a 204 petrol and save a lot of money!

a 204 diesel from 2009

For the cost of doing that conversion well, I imagine you could buy something MUCH better than a 204 diesel from 2009.

Sell your car and get a petrol. it will cost s fortune. Id doesnt answer your question but its thr most logical.

Of course a car can be converted, but it will be costly snd time consuming, thus probably (not sure how rich you are) financially not viable.

Usual reason for moving from diesel to petrol is due to Adblue problems.

Or LEZ , currently making moves into replacing the Diesel Cayenne for the sake of the blasted LEZ coming into force in Glasgow in a few months.

Suit the "green cause" more if they started clearing the M8 carpark, caused by continual roadworks, that pretty much goes through the city center.

Saturday night rant over.
