No not these - paper clips and drawing board pins, or maybe I need a new pair of glasses does anyone know what a paperclip looks like?If you mean these in the picture, they're explained at the bottom of each forum.

If you put your mouse over the symbols, they will explain
A pin denotes that the post has been 'stuck' therefore it will not slide down the page as new threads are posted
A paperclip denotes that there are one or more attachments (pictures etc) in the thread
When a Mod makes a post sticky the pin arrives, when anyone attaches a thumbnail picture the paperclip shows up.Thanks. Next silly question ; who puts them there - Moderators or the person posting
OK Thanks for that, but what is the formula the Mods use for the paperclip ie the thread is something important that should be answered?:roll:When a Mod makes a post sticky the pin arrives, when anyone attaches a thumbnail picture the paperclip shows up.
If you are asking why a mod makes a post sticky (pin not paperclip) the formula is very large and complex, using lots of imaginary numbers and fuzzy logic. We have to feed in multiple parameters then await the result  . Alternatively if a member asks and if a mod thinks the thread important enough then it is made sticky and stays at the top of the section.OK Thanks for that, but what is the formula the Mods use for the paperclip ie the thread is something important that should be answered?
