Yes once the ombudsman gets involved, Insurers are under very strict time constraints to progress the matter. It's often the time to get them involved that's the problem. Personally I wouldn't get them involved as mentioned above but then I know when and how hard to press buttons relating to Insurance problems. I appreciate that not everyone has that experience.

I also think it is an unfortunate necessity sometimes if wanting to help others, as the more you report, the more the insurance company has to change it’s ways or face certain consequences. if we cannot leave a better environment for the next generation, perhaps we can leave better insurance...
