Anyone had any experience with Tesco Car Insurance. There seems to be a cash back offer going at the moment but I dont know the name of the insurer that tesco use. I also seem to remember something about someone having problems with a claim.

Used Tesco's for my Daughters ...... 2 claims .... no problems ! ... althought getting the excess back took a while ....... but the circumstances may have had something to do with that!!

I made a claim against a Tesco insured driver and they were very quick to sort my car out, I changed over to Tesco because they were a lot cheaper than the other insurers, also have pet insurance with them which Ive had to claim on twice now for £900 and there were no problems:smile:

I used one of the compare websites and changed from the IAM insurer to the AA. Price dropped from £180 to £125 and also included 12 month free roadside assistance. Expect price will rise next year but will use compare again if it does.

Think Tesco own Tesco Insurance outright now.

I have just moved the Merc from them to Swift, £100 less and £28 cashback on quidco.;)
They now have all three cars and have saved me a small fortune this year, plus two lots of cashback (didn't do it the first time !!)

Well i paid 389 fully comp with business use for my S320CDi, and having experienced how quickly they settle claims it would take a hefty saving to switch (and I got 40 pounds voucher as well for the groceries !!)

I'm with Swiftcover £200 on a CLK 200. Got a quote for an MX5 as second car recently - whatever model, whatever cover, whatever annual milage it came out at £128 to £140.

Been with them now for about four years - I search every year & can't get a better quote - they didn't want my 29 yr old son with his 3ltr Peugot 406 coupe though.

For any Merc owners over 50 give Saga a try. I saved £100 immediatly with them and they were a pleasure to deal with, Spoke to a real person too.

I have just got a quote from MB using the advert at the top of the forum main page. Bearing in mind the cheapest i have been quoted up to now is £488 with Hastings, MB want £1280.

In the process of renewing mine now. Tesco want large minimum excesses. My renewal with RAC Direct is £213 with £200 excess. Using gocompare with RAC Direct works out at £280 for some reason - same details! Will try Saga.
