Thanks for this info but hmm... I don't really feel like splurging £5.99 a month for Amazon on top of what I already pay for Virgin TV so I'll wait until it gets sold on and appears as repeats somewhere.

It will be interesting to see if this boosts Amazon Prime sales or not - if they crow about it then okay (maybe - if they provide believable statistics), if they keep quiet then you know they've spent a lorra lorra money for little return.

Thinks: Maybe Amazon will try to buy Bake off from Channel 4!

I must be one of the few people that didn't like Topgear or its presenters, I love watching car shows but i just found that trio to be quite irritating for some reason.

I'd got bored with it too, and while I liked may and Hammond, I found clarkson's boorishness wearying.

I think it was a shade more complicated than that and several of the crew memoirs make it clear. They'd done pretty much everything that they could within the confines of the rules that Auntie laid out, and Clarkson at the least was getting bored with it.

That said, he is a very polarising chap. Half decent school though.

Well I appreciate the car related comedy show that is Top Gear as being one of the few things I would sit and watch with the youth.

Hopefully it will have a new lease of life, it did get a bit stale.

Yes, you're right - it had got stale.

Clarkson is very a complex character. He can boorish and disrespectful.

But he can also be very respectful in his rather flippant way: during a tv show he was talking about his (presumably now ex-) father in law and he found out by accident that he was a VC. So he asked why he had never told him: "it seems somehow he forgot".

Just watching the short clip above makes me look forward to the series, especially after the awful TG revival.
For those who dislike the trio, just don't watch it. Easy.

Well I can't wait......missed topgear with these three idiots and so looking forward to the new show, I do accept it's not so much of a car show and it's just three mates having a laugh and getting paid for it, wish I could.......

It's like anything ease, if you don't like it, don't get involved, I don't like a lot of posts on this forum anymore, hence I stay away from them, that's my choice, roll on Friday........

I gave up watching Top Gear on terrestrial TV and even though I have Amazon Prime I probably won't bother watching it.

I do watch most things James May presents individually and find them much more interesting..

No doubt. I do wish the popular press, with their vast resources, would put under scrutiny the type of scumbags which appear in Private Eye.

Not as clickworthy as Clarkson hence less ad revenue.
