The inappropriate badging thread

My dealer is advertising an 'SL400 AMG Line'.
I don't know much about the SL, but should it have AMG badges in these places?

The answer to my question is a resounding NO from all then.
Must admit I was doubtful as to whether they should be there, especially behind the front wheel arches which does not look good IMO.
Presumably a previous owner fitted them thinking they looked cool.

The below was an SL350 badged as an SL550 AMG

He has gone for the triple. Excellent work. All he needs is a "Kompressor" badge to finish it off, and maybe a "V8" somewhere.

He could still add a 'Black Series' badge, and perhaps a 'Brabus' one too...whilst he is at it, why not add an 'M Power' one just to make it stand out from the rest......

Whilst this thread is respectfully infinite what is above and beyond more special is those hopefully few deluded individuals that actually believe passionately and adimantly that they actually have a real AMG .

You won't like it , even if you've never owned an AMG and it will invoke the darkest demon within you to retain such honour...
