Today, I am driving along and needed to hit the horn. Nothing happened. Then I noticed my signal indicator wasn't working?! So I assumed it must be a fuse and told my wife I would check it out when we got home. We did our errand, returned to the car, started it and tested the horn and the indicators and they both worked!! Since I am new to Mercedes B's I thought I would run this one up the pole and see what the great minds on this forum think, or can advise.
The car is a 2002 CLK cabriolet is mint shape and low mileage.

That is too hard on a one off fault

It's all that blummin software and complex electronics, it's bound to go wrong :)

Perhaps you found a path in the code that they haven't tested for and turning off the car and restarting reset all the variables. I could go on as it's my line of work but I think I've probably bored you all already.

You do run off with one off faults with mercs from time to time. Usually restarting it cures the problem unless there is actually something wrong.

I agree with EGBM, too many control units and so much software, its bound to have run in with one another from time to time.

Sometimes my indicator warning misses a "beep". The arrow flashes and the indicators flash but one beep goes astray. Not every day, but often enough for me to have noticed it happens from time to time.

Another Merc oddity, perhaps?

Interesting??? It makes mine rather worrying when dash flashes WARNING!!!! brake line failure, visit workshop

But i guess i do like the mystery of a fault to come up once in a while and then go away in the mist.

We have to accept the fact that our cars are very clever and have alot of software stuffed into them so odd error/warning is expected.

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like something one can live with. Sort of like Windows operating system. Turn it off, turn it on and everything runs fine again!!??

At least the car plays on the side of caution, some other cars may not warn you of impending doom
