Thinking of going for a C180/200 auto est

And selling/trading in the C280 V6 auto est....it's quite a thristy beast, would it be worthwhile or would just be wasting my time.

Trading cars is almost always an expensive process. Yes, you'll get 33 out of a C200 against perhaps 28 on the 280 (on a run), but that's a real cash saving of around 2p a mile. At 12000 miles, thats less than £5 per week. Is it worth the effort?

I honestly thought a C180/200 would be more than that...maybe 35 ish (town) and 40ish open. I know in my 280 (town) I'm getting about 25-8 open about 33-35, but I'm a slow driver and dont take off quick from light's ect either.

I get about 16mpg around town but managed 29mpg from Edinburgh down to Carlisle last week

I know I deffinately get more than that eg about 10ish, but like I say about town I'm slow as a "week in the jail" so to speak...should be much chance of getting done for speeding..lol

Even my 525 24v got more than that (your's that is) that was about 25ish about town.

Ah..you didnt say what you had....I kinda thought because I was talking about the 280 that's what you also had.

At the price of petrol going (and it's going up again) your not scared running that...
