Would the size difference not cause issues with traction control systems?

What about a tyre repair kit like plugs or slime and an inflator etc. I can’t what else other than a blow out could not be repaired with this.

If you have breakdown and get a blowout they will sort, otherwise would rely on sealant.

Might have to go with plan A then the Roadhero space saver alloy spare I do prefer to take a punctured wheel off and take it to be repaired myself.

My son had real problems when one of his 20in alloys cracked the car was beached for the best part of a week while it was welded.

If a space saver is a genuine option that is best to cart around in the car.

Then over time you can source spare wheels to keep handy if you wish.

With genuine wheel as a spare do the fronts and backs have different offset?

I know my rears won’t fit the front of my S203, when I accidentally tried to fit one when changed over from winter to summmer wheels. Did not try it the other way around. Luckily I have a Mercedes Space saver as standard.

It’s the only thing I miss about the S212 it also had a spacesaver as standard. The car is a staggered set up Front ET20 Rear ET49 so a rear would fit the front but sit 29mm wider. I think the best solution is to buy spacesaver spare when I ditch the runflats

Thought I’d share this - one of those moments that make you smile.

The wife and I were on grandparent duties at the weekend looking after our 6 and 8 year old grandsons. Part of our responsibilities was to transport them to football training Saturday morning. Each child had a 1 hour slot starting at 9am with a 1 hour interval to the next session. Duly delivered and watched the 6 year old train for an hour which I really enjoyed then loaded him up for the return journey.

We set off out of the village and stopped to join a fast A road which was quite busy, I saw a slot big enough to pull out into but it required about half throttle to get up to speed to not interfere with the flow of traffic (the engine sounded great) I then heard a little voice from the back ‘grandpa, you do realise you are wasting fuel accelerating at that speed don’t you’ - so lesson learnt, I know each generation is smarter than the next but this is ridiculous lol

It’s when they comment on your taste in music in the car you should be worried about.
Ferrying my grandson aged 8yrs old and he comments on the Beatles medley I am playing via my iPod, Grandad do Mercedes always play old men’s music? I told him it was the Beatles and Classic, his reply, “boring’.

Good Lord, do you think he was stressing about the planet or his parents inheritance

Greta may be more far reaching than we thought.

He’s quite advanced for his age and hands on with everything which can be a bit distressing at times as he can’t read manuals yet lol
