Tick Over - V6 Idle

For you guys with the V6 240, what does your Benz idle at and what should it be...I think mine is a tad low as its a bit rocky at times sitting at a junction....

Mine idles about 600 rpm when warmed up , ( just above 80 )

Hi Greg,

Mine idles at between 600 and 700 rpm (the white gauge isn't exactly full of graduations :) ) Normal temp for mine is a shade above 80 degC.

Sounds very similar to Jason's motor.

I got a four potter, but the recent shocking service has transformed the tick-over.
I bought some bargain fully synthetic Castrol RS about 4 months ago, and asked them to use it in the car during the service, (Saving £30 and being better than the merc-specified semi synthetic) and the car is virtually silent now and ticks over/pulls much smoother. Amazing difference.
