Ticking C240

Ive had a ticking noise on my C240 for 3 years old and Merc dealers cant seem to figure out what the problem is.

The ticking starts when the car is warm and in motion, the noise goes faster and louder the faster i drive.

Any Ideas???

Hey merc888 I have suffered the exact similar noise for over 5 years and cant track it down!

I have an W210 E240 - which will probably be virtually identical to yours...

I am at a loss of what it could be - spoils an otherwise dream ride!

Have checked the injectors and they seem to make a distinct "tick" but I presume thats normal for the V6 ?

Anyone's suggestions/cures would be very gratefully received..
