This morning I thought I'd check my ignition timing, but for the life of me, I can't find the timing mark.

I have a W124 1988 300E.

The Haynes manual helpfully tells me the pointers on the timing chain cover and the marks are on the crankshaft pulley..., but I can't find them. :?:

Anyone able to give me a good description of where these marks are / draw me a picture?

Much appreciated...

I believe there are marks somewhere - maybe not easy to find though.
The Haynes manual I have states that there marks exist and the ECU can be adjusted with fixed value resistors if the timing is exactly 3 degrees +/-.
