would just like to say that my faith in main dealers was restored yesterday,£900 fo a b service on a c class with loads of parts etc new brake discs and pads too very reasonable...give them a try....if your car is over 6 years old you get 40 percent off labour and a free mot......

yeah they even forgot to reset the service assyst...and usually that would mean me taking the car back to the garage but they sent someone out immediately to do it and i live half hour from them....good guys....and also gave me a gift for my troubles

I have used Tony Purslow at Hindhead since purchasing my first Mercedes, they do provide a good service, car always comes back cleaned inside and out and the 6 year old thing is great.
Interesting to see what the service costs for my E class is though.

I too use Tony Purslow for servicing and I agree that they are very good in the main.

However, the 40% off labour rates is, from experience, quite misleading. They use MB set times to calculate the length of a job and these tend to be a fair bit longer than most good independents. It is also worth noting with 40% off you are still paying £67 plus VAT per hour, again somewhat higher than a good local independent.

As a result I have my servcing done by Tony Purslow to keep MB stamps in the book but any additional work goes to my friendly independent.

Hmm...interesting. Our 2004 E class is covered by MB used warranty/mobilo life etc. If we have the service done by a dealer and other work done by an indie, would that invalidate warranty or Mobilolife?

No it should not affect it
