i went round to see the air ambulance peole yesterday.

whilst i was tkaing this photo you can see they got a call.

today this year they have been out 597times. well that was yesterday. it will be 600 i should think by today.

last year they did 844 in total.

and before anyone asks. it does attaend false alarms. its requested, so it has a job to go to.

Am I missing something, but are 'speed records' not inherantly dangerous?

If they were completly safe, then anybody could do them. I don't remember this fuss when Donald Cambell had a go at the water speed record.

From the way JC and JM are talking about this incident, it was always a risk they all took and they knew something was going to happen sooner or later. They had worked out what they would do but the bottom line was that the show would go on...that was never in question.

Great News Richard Hammond now out of Leeds Hospital - could be going home or to a local hospital - we will hear more soon i am sure
