Hi
I have recently purchased a C180 2000 Merc sedan .I am very happy with
it and I was aware of the performance side when I purchased.
I now have an occasional noise coming from the transmission area.
Mostly after driving around in city traffic when the car is hot. The sound is of gears meshing like a purr, when i speed up and put load on it disappears and when I ease of it returns. I park the car and return in half an hour the noise disappears. I t doesn't happen all the time and I'm not sure if it is gearbox or maybe a universal .Has anyone ever had the same experience.
