Hello. The turbo on my mec sprinter 313cdi cuts out when driving. If you turn the ignition off then on it kicks back in. Any ideas ?

Thanks

I know nothing about sprinters but do know the vws do this and its because the variable vane turbo seizes up and the engine then overboosts, ecu senses excess pressure and sticks car into limp home mode, resets every time ign switched off.

Friends did this he cured it by selling it!

Google variable vane/nozzle turbo.
