The tyre sealent for my car a CLC CDI WDB 203 needs replacing and I am trying to find one on eBay or similar rather than pay main dealer prices, but it is confusing since apparently identical sealent shave different parts codes !

I have seen sealents with code A000 5832202 and A000 5831202 does anyone know which one is correct for the car or indeed if it makes any difference ?

Suggestions as to where to buy would also be appreciated.

I really want the sealent as an emergency last resort since I appreciate that they are not everyone's choice !

Thanks

Nikki

Do you have any problem with a tyre losing pressure.

Tyres keeping pressure well but noticed that tyre sealent missing from standard equip for car and wanted to replace in case of need. I have a pressured can of the Holts tyre repair gunk, but had presumed that the sealent spliced by Mercedes would be superior and do a better job especially given comparative cost !

Does anyone know the correct Mercedes sealent part code for the car so I can at least key my eyes open for a replacement if it appears on line ?

Thanks

Nikki

If you have the blow up spare wheel, then a compressor and sealant are provided, I really do not think that the mercedes version is any better than any other one.

Thanks. I will only buy a Merc sealing if I can see one on E bay or similar. As such, It would be good to know what Merc part number I should look for if it is known ?

Thanks

I had a deal on double cans of Holts Tyreweld in a nice leatherette bag that velcro's into the boot, comes with gloves and a nice hi-viz vest :). I've a set in 4 of mine although it was of no use at all when the sidewall went on the Smart

Nikki, sorry I have a memory like a sieve!!
OK just been out and the information from the original Daimler AG cylinder is:-
620ml/0.65 US-quarts
(made by Dunlop Tech Gmbh)
Part number 131302
Bar Code: A 000 583 07 12
The hose and connector are part of the cylinder pack (mine is still sealed andd hopefully will remain that way until the car goes 1st September)
Hope that helps and again, much embarrasment for my rubbish memory in checking this for you- normally I'm a 'bit' more reliable!
