U0046 error code

After a few months of warning light free driving my 2014 W205 has reverted to form and is now showing the light and error code U0046 which has the generic description Vehicle Communication Bus C.

There was a lot of surface water on the roads on the day this popped up, not enough to immerse anything but I’m wondering if there’s a short somewhere.

Has anyone dealt with this?

What code reader did use.
Find the connection and see if its dry/clean.
That said MB connections are pretty damn well robust

Thanks for your reply. It’s a very basic reader that doesn’t display anything apart from that quoted.

It disappeared for a few days and is now back together with very strange tyre pressure readings and warning light. The tyre pressures are shown as soon as the ignition is turned on so they’re not genuine. Any idea where to look?

Thanks again. Would that reader identify a faulty module/component? I bought a similar one previously but returned it as it wasn’t much better than the £20 one I already had.
