Hi All,

2000 W210 E320CDI estate, fitted witha standard MB Audio 10 cassette/radio, want to upgrade to play CD's.

Would prefer equipment operable by the standard steering wheel buttons. Been offered an Audio 10 CD/radio for £75 (forgot to ask if it's got RDS :roll: ). Or would a CD changer operated through the existing cassette/radio be a better option? Or even something non-MB (remembering the preference for something operable by the standard steering wheel buttons)?

Finally, what's the difference between Audio 10 and Audio 30 (yes, I appreciate they look different :rolleyes: )?

All advice gratefully appreciated.

Regards,

You have 2 options;

Either source a second hand MB CD player(I have one which will work with the CD changer and has RDS) and have it fitted but bare in mind that you have to have the CD changer fitted in the Boot which may be painful.

Or, you could get yourself a nice aftermarket CD/MP3 player and buy an interface to work with the steering and display.

I had a DoubleDin Alpine Sat Nav Fitted and the speakers handle the power very well and i am very impressed with the result as its loud and very crisp clear sound.

I have fitted a Kenwood double din head unit that does it all(nav, hands free,dvd, cd ipod control) and added a unit to control it fron the steering wheel works and looks a treat. Cost about £1000 in all but worth it.
