I am having a major dispute with a London based MB dealership. They have blatantly lied, failed to do what they promised and refused to give me names of the people making decisions that effect me. Ha anyone had to escalate a case higher than dealer level and how did you go about it? PLEASE HELP !!

Mb Customer care no. is 01908 245000. I found them to be very helpful but when the dealer started dragging his feet about putting matters right I asked Customer care for a name of someone higher up to write to and they gave me Mr J Eberhardt, Managing Director, Daimler Chrysler UK Ltd, Tongwell, MK 15 8BA. Iwrote to him and within days had a reply from one of his assistants and from the dealer principal and everything was sorted to my satisfaction.

Good Luck,

If it were me I'd write to the chief exec of MB in the UK, and then advise that you will take the issue public.

I did this with Peugeot, when a camshaft broke in half at 50 000 miles. They reimbursed the £1600 to replace it. If you have a genuine case, and have evidence then tackle the head person straight away. If the dealer has messed you about, take names and dates and other details to help your case and then go for it.

If the chief exec fails to act go public. With the press and other media you can take your pick, and of course all MB publications should be notified.

Good luck with it

i had a reaL problem with a LandRover 4 years ago and managed to have a meeting with the dealer principle and dealer director.
They were pretty much off at first but during the meeting I kept calm but at the same time reminded them I was prepared to do what ever it took including court to see my car was put right, I did get it resolved but had to do some serios letter writing and finally gave them a time period of 14days to make arragements to take my car in for the repairs or I would start picketing out side ( and I would have),
Hope all goes well , keep at them .
