vibrarion on s500l

hi peoples i was wondering if anybody knows i am getting a vibration noise on my s500l 2001.it seems to be comi8ng from the front end of the car.it happens when driving and sometimes when you start the car up.would be very gratefull if somebody could help me.thanx in advance

May be the air comp pump? Does it go away after 20 30 sec. If it does this when the car is no moving listen out for it, the pump is in the lower front right hand side of the wheel arch/ bumper.

vibration on s500l

thanx mate will look into that also i,ve noticed that the ec button stayed on all time and i couldn,t turn it off.would that contribute to this problem?

the ec light on is more then lightly the "thamosate" (so misspelt). It's quite common for them to fail. Try going to quickfit for the £40 regas, then you will have to go and get the fault wiped on the star. if that does not fix it it's about £80 for the "thamosate"

yes trompost i,ve got a mechanic to look at it and he thinks it,s the air comp pump .thanx for your feedback.i hope it,s not to dear!!!

Have a look at this site http://clubmb.darkbb.com/index.htm one of the members has for sale a pump and relay switch, it's an orig merc part. You should also change the bracket that holds it as that may well be rusted, it's around 30 pounds extra but make sense.

thanks tromppost for your information .it was,nt the pump itself it was the bracket holding the iar comp pump that had rusted away.my faithfull mechanic sorted it out.thanx for your feedback.
