Hi ,I have a really heavy steering problem that comes and goes over a days journey and seems ok at low speeds 5MPH and lower but really gets bad on slow corners & motorway lane changes. Then the next day fine ,not a problem all day!
I did have an injector leak a few weeks and it was all cleaned properly and garage serviced but it has not changed its behaviour Fluid level seemsfine Could it be oil contamination on drive belt /Steering pump failure /dirt in fliud res' ?Or Power steering sensor if it has one.
Would be grateful for any answers please ,Reallyfantastic to ask a question and get great advice .

Hi
Must have had some air trapped in the old fluid.

It's a recirculating hydraulic system so technically that's impossible. More likely is either the old fluid level was low or the rotary valve was jamming and draining and refilling, with the appropriate application of full lock and new fluid, has freed it off.
