Vito 112 cdi head gasket weep

Hi all,i've just been told by the local garage that my head is leaking a bit of water.I noticed last week that the water light came on and i topped it up the morning after with about 1.5 litres but about half an hour down the road it was on again.Is it worth repairing,how much should i expect to pay and what are other options or suggestions?

If it is the head gasket then as likely as not into the cylinders. With all the resultant engine damage that that causes. What does the oil look like? Any 'mayonaise' in the lid of the oil filler?
