vito 112cdi engine

Can anyone throw any light on a vito 112cdi van it's RH drive but seems to be a "grey" import as reg document shows "manufactured 1999 but 1st registered in UK 6/2000" my problem is registration document shows eng size as2500 cc not 2100 or 2300 as expected . As i'm trying to resolve a sensor
problem which has sent the ECU into "limp" mode it would be nice to know what i'm looking at, what else on UK market uses this lump

A 112 CDI should be a 2.2 litre ? A 2.3 is not turbo nor CDI and is just a normal aspirated engine . As far as I'm aware CDI 's were introduced in 2001.
