At the weekend the clutch on my Vito 113 failed. Looks like it the slave cylinder that's leaking. Is there a howto for replacing the slave cylinder? If it was an external one I'd have no problems, but my van is fitted with one inside the bell housing.

On vauxhalls I have done in the past with the concentric slave, have been very easy just gearbox off diconnect hydraulic line to slave and unbolt it. Slide new one on and connect it all back up

TBH I've never removed a gearbox on a FWD car/van before (apart from an old Mini). I've only removed RWD gearboxes. Looks like quite a bit of stuff to remove and not much space.

BTW the van is parked between two walls about 7 feet apart, which makes it even more difficult.

It will be harder than a rwd box because as you said more will have to come off and your limited with space with fwd and your garage.

Also use a GENUINE slave cylinder! You'll regret it if you dont.
