Hi,
As a new Mercedes owner this is my first post on this illustrious forum. The car is a 1984 W123 200, left hand drive, currently residing in Spain but imported here from Germany about five years ago.
The problem (well, one of the problems...) is a strange noise, about half way between a knock and a tick, that happens when the car is on a twisty mountain road. It started after the fuel pump was changed (had fuel starvation previously) so I reckon it's fuel related.
The noise come from the left hand side of the car.
What's the answer? Does the fuel line have to be pressurised? Could there be a leak letting air in? Or maybe it's not the fuel line at all?
Thanks for any help. Cheers, P.
