W124 230 wont run...HELP

I got the call we dred from the missus..the cars broken down.
It lost its power instantly and died. It will start for a split second and die straght away, it makes no difference if you rev it or try to let it tick over. Its an auto .
Any ideas??????

2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
Fuel pump relay,, take the relay out and bridge terminals 7 and 8 and the car should run
