Dear all,
My car's tyres are sort of due for renewal, they were replaced at 104k by the previous owner, and 16k miles later, are starting to show wear and tear - especially as the last few thousand have been completed in the city - with tight parking spots, three point turns etc!
I installed Neuton tyres on my old SAAB 93, but sold the car before I was really able to put any decent mileage on them. I wonder if anyone on here has tried Neuton's NT3000 - which come in the right size for my estate, which is 205 60 15 with a H speed rating.
I cover less than 4000 miles per year, with 75% of driving in town, at speeds well below 35 mph - yes I realise to most, this is torture, but with a new baby, we sometimes actually 'need' to use the car. Things will change in the summer months.
I see that www.W124.co.uk supplies all their cars with Continental Premium Contact IIs, which cost approx. £100 per tyre, fitted, but the Neutons are less than half the price of these, and accordingly, rather tempting. They are sold by NeoBros, whose services I have used before with my SAAB; they are highly rated by them, but I cannot find any reviews online, from the UK, and on the NT3000s.
I note the NT3000 is classed as a summer touring tyre, should this worry me? We plan to take a family holiday in early Jan to Kent which will involve a fair bit of driving.
Any advice from those who have experience of this actual tyre, or brand, would be highly appreciated.
With best wishes as always,
ShivaYash
