W168 Displaying F on Dash Display after long journey

Please help I have been driving an A Class That displayed F on the dash after about 80 miles then went into limp mode but picked up OK
When engine was switched off and restarted F cleared and OK for about 30 miles then came on again switched off and restarted F cleared then it ran OK for 60 miles to end of journey

Checked with owner he says it only comes on after long journey

Mercedes checked said Test Showed EHCU to be faulty as well as BAS diaphram Travel Sensor

Please advise if you have seen this fault before and cost of cure

i have seen this fault many time over the last few year, most of the time it needs a new valve body, sometimes its as simple as the selector module, both put F on the dash, the faults you quote would put the ESP warning lights on!!
