Hi..

Ive been having trouble with me W202 c200k gearbox.
The throttle stops working when it seems i coast it into, say a roundabout..

It was doing it once a month & now its doing it more regular eg.90miles 60miles and did it twice today within 5 mins.
I have to switch off ignition & then its fine & so i have it down to a fine art to which i can do it whilst driving.

I dont get any warning lights come up or go into limp mode..surely it should?

Any ideas..would a stars tester show the prob?

Thanks...

Alan.

Sorry..if i take my foot off the throttle & coast it up to a roundabout..when i put my foot back on the throttle doesn't respond.
It just sits at 1500 rpm. i can feel the box changing down when its coasting but doesn't stall.

When i flick the key off then back on its all ok for a while just seem to be doing it more regular.

Any ideas?

They are all small modification parts including a pipe on your air intake to stop the vacuam in the over run.

You can ask MB to print this out for you, if they wll not,I can do it for you when I get same ink

Malcolm pls save yourself some money in the long run by getting a decent laser printer. :) If you want some recommendations I'm sure you will get plenty. Just check out the prices of consumables (toner) before buying. Should be a lot cheaper per page than inkjet.

Thank you Blobcat,if I can get every thing on one computer, with two HDs, then I do not have to print and then scan in order to send these things, thats my long term aim. I only just got on air today by system restore.

My other MB program is running on a machine with a 3.3 processor and 1024 of ram with high spec DVDs and DVi graphics, I think that I should upgrade that one, its almost new, only cost me a £1
