Hi Malcolm
I've just spent a nightmarish weekend trying to remove the condenser from my W203 C320.
I can't get the pipes off the back of the rad; how on earth do they come off? And the electrical sensor next to the pipes; it must unscrew but it turns and stays where it is!
Also, it appears that you have to remove the galvanised chassis front crossmember to get the rad out, I now know why garages charge £500 to do this job!
Any suggestions would gratefully received.
Kind regards

John Ellis

Condensor replacement on W203 - procedure

Hi Malcolm

Can you please email the instructions to me. The a/c on my 2002 C220 cdi (W203)needs regassing every 2 months.

Hope it is the condensor if this is the most common problem for a/c leaks on these cars.

Regards Deon.

I think Malcolm is away for a couple of weeks but someone else here may have the instructions or be able to help.

Hey guys! I'm also facing the same problem, A/C constantly needs refilling. And I can't find a decent A/C specialist in my area, so I'm stuck trying to find out where the leak is, I hope it's the condenser.
Maybe Malcolm can help us out with thos instructions. My car is a 203.004

Changing the condenser you need to be F Gas qualified to handle refrigerants so one know's how to recover and dispose of the refrigerant, should one get caught you will be hung by the short and curly's and a hefty fine to boot,
