W203 Key questions

I have a C240 w203 model with the old shape plastic three button key. The key intermittantly work to locl/unlock the car and when it fails I have to place it in the ignition and turn the car on and then the key will lock the car. I have tried replacing the batteries but the problem still persists. Does the key need re-programed or If I order a new key from the dealer would that work? I need to order a new key as when I bought it the car only came with one spare key. Thanks for your help.

Sounds like you need a new key!!

When you get your new key you can send the old one to me and I will see if I can fix it for you

The all plastic DAS keys are about £210 is yours faulty

They only send out the chrome key now as the stocks of the plastic ones are finished now

He will need the log book and some ID before it can be ordered,,a birth mark even better depending on where it is

Hi Television i have found some keys on ebay for £40 but they will require a blade and programming.

Any idea how much this would cost or if Mercedes would even entertain the idea of programming this ?

You cannot do that,,the keys will never work,,they are good for parts only

I wonder how much hard earned cash has passed thro flebay in total on useless keys????
