Hi had two of these codes on same model and year, but not the short circuit one. The red turbo hose at the bottom of the intercooler on the RH had perished, completely. When it was replaced and tested, the black one on the opposite side blew.

You ideally need an MB independent with Star diagnostics . Where do you live buddy

Hi
I have a very similar problem. My w204 manual gearbox (c220) does not go above 3000rpm. I'm from King's Lynn. Any suggestions where I can have this checked?

More than likely a charge hose from before or after the intercooler.

I can recommend Mertec in Rainham, but I appreciate it’s a fair distance.

I had the same issue with my car, finally got it fixed. I had a crack in the turbo boost hose pipe and turbo boost wiring was faulty, I got mine fixed from Autoclass Garage - Independent Mercedes-Benz Specialist in Milton Keynes.

hi again
Many thanks for the previous advice.
i just had my car serviced and EML light checked and the advisor came up with "DPF Soot content too high". they clear the code but came straight back on again.
Is there any thing i can do to make the DPF start regen?

thanks for the help.

Change the dpf pressure sensor. Reset codes and say a prayer to your chosen religion.. that it might do a forced regen. If not the dpf may need removing and a deep clean performed.

Take it to someone with Star, read the codes and then try a forced regen (you need Star to do this).

C220 CDI W204
Good afternoon all,

I've just bought my second merc, a 2013 W204 C220 CDI estate, 55k on the clock. Been driving for the last 2 weeks without any problems but driving to work 2 days ago the car felt very low on power, wouldn't rev above 2.5k, would not respond E/S shift on the gearbox and will not kick down (apparently this is the limp mode......). The following journey home, sure enough the EML light came on.

Ran a diagnostic through a generic OBD scanner and two fault codes were visible: P023714 (The boost pressure sensor has a short circuit to ground / There is an open circuit) and P0237 (Turbocharger / Supercharger boost sensor A low). I cleared these faults, EML went off and stayed off for a journey but still seemingly in limp mode. Re-read codes after second run and now showing P2279 (Intake Air system leak), along with the EML back on.

I can't hear any air leak in the engine bay. I've tried to monitor the boost pressure on the data stream but cant find a parameter relating to the boost pressure. There is a parameter that cannot be found under address 00,00,6D,09, if that means anything :S

I've monitored the intake manifold absolute pressure A, and it remains constant a 6kPa.

Can anyone shed any light on the possible cause? Is it as simple as replacing the MAP sensor and going from there, or more serious?

Many thanks for all your help!
In Australia a STAR or XENTRY diagnostic will cost you about AUS$300 or US$180 and will give you as a DIY person sufficient knowledge to fix it. My iCarsoft MB II is good, but an indie with a XENTRY has better explanations in the written quote. A Merc stealership will cost you AUS$300 PER problem with a STAR diagnostic, so is more expensive.
