W204 estate pan roof seals

Hi everyone

Not had a merc for a long time. Just purchased an immaculate 2013 c250cdi amg sports premium plus with pan roof. 90k with total main dealer history.

Just noticed the gasket on.passenger side of roof looks to be perished!

Any ideas or thoughts??

No water ingress that i can tell off

You could try some of the below, it can work wonders on rubber seals.

We have had incidences of birds eating the seals as well…

if perished to the point of being porous and flakey, rubber conditioner may
not be worthwhile.
If it just looks bad, give it a clean with soapy water and a toothbrush and take it from there

Bird damage to sunroof rubber sealing strip.

I have a W212 E350 sport estate with a glass roof. Glass section after wind screen, opening roof with a glass panel behind. There is a rubber sealing strip which runs from front to back of the glass sections of the roof. It is in the form of a hollow rubber tube. I saw a magpie pecking away on...

Rubber quality has gone down in quality. too many newer cars suffering
