My 2015 W205 C300 with only 40k on the clock engine management light has come on.

I have had the car for around 4-5months, has mainly been doing local runs and runs absolutely perfect.
Today I was on the motorway travelling a good hour away, on the way home as soon as I got off the motorway the engine management light appeared  However the car still drives spot on, no limp mode, no hesitation from the gearbox or engine, no smoke, no overheating nothing at all.

I pulled over checked the oil and coolant everything is as it should. Removed the engine cover and everything looked perfectly fine.

Does anybody know what it could be? Is there any common problems on these cars such as injectors, fuel pump etc etc.

Will be getting the car scanned for the fault code in the next coming days. Just wondering if anybody has encountered something similar.

As the car seems to be running fine and given their history, I would suggest one or both of the NOx sensors have failed; £600 for one £1200 for both, but MB have been doing them under extended warranty/goodwill.

Problem might be getting it to a dealership that is open and then getting spares.

As above, your wasting brain space without reading the codes.

Did a quick check on the air filter and was absolutely packed with leaves and dirt.

New air filter ordered, but will still get car scanned for any codes.

Quick update, got the car scanned and turned out to be a faulty 'NOx sensor 2 on bank 1'. Cleared the fault code, been a few days (inc motorway driving) and no engine warning light so far.

Will replace the sensor if the engine light reappears again.

If it's still within 6 months of buying and it was bought from a car sales place then they have to put it right FOC by law.

Nox sensors are quite expensive on these.

If you get no luck with the supplying dealer, we have had luck with MB Main dealer replacing them on goodwill for our customers.
