W208 Clk230k Maf

Guys,

Can somebody please confirm that the following part number is correct for a MAF for a W208 CLK230.

Bosch - 0 280 217 114


Reason I ask is because, I have seen proces quoted here for £300+..
I am based in Ireland and i just rang the local motor factors and they have these in stock for €64 + VAT which is about £52.

At that price they wont be Bosch made but China made MAF's these wont work well and you will have to replace it later with the original item, ask them if they are Bosch.

I gave them the Bosch part number as a reference and they gave me the price at that.

Could they still be Chinese parts even with the Bosch part number?

If it has a Bosch name and number it should be OK

The MAF is not very conveniently located in the W208 CLK230 for reading model numbers!!

I just rang back the supplier to confirm the Manufacturer:
I gave them the Bosch Number and they gave me a proce, I then asked them the manufacturer of the part and they said 'Autospark'...

Not Bosch after all...

What do you reckon the lifetime of this MAF would be?
I could purchase about 6 of them for the same price as 1 MB part.

Its not a case of how long it will last but will it work correctly once fitted, Ive heard stories of these china made MAF's causing cats to fail and excessive over fueling leading to exploding heads!!!!

Am I correct in thinking that the part numbers are themselves correct but the MB & Bosch may need swapping around like so:

Bosch: 0 280 217 114
MB: 000 094 09 48
