They have been flashing but not all the time when the car is running, otherwise nothing.

ps. It is a late 1996 car registered in Jan 1997. One of the last with the blade type key.

Thank you for the info Malcolm. I now need to find the location of the 'remote control locking control module'. Any idea's?
I have also repaired the courtesy lights. It would appear that there is water getting in where they have joined the roof as the courtesy light switch circuit board was half corroded away. This has now been repaired and now working 100%.
Just the central locking and a few other silly little things to sort!

Central locking is now working!!
Having found water in the courtesy light I wondered if water had entered the mirror. Bingo, it had. One of the tracks on the circuit board had etched away. Once repaired and then resyncing the keys and it all works. As you may of guessed I am a happy man!
Now to sort the non serious problems out!
